Just the Wilson's being The Wilson's

Family

OK. So to get our kids to play to the camera, sometimes it takes a little fun. Silly faces are the latest.
Also, one does have to have a mummy and the little girl!!
We always knew Mimi was going to be the best mum, but great to see the photos of how much this little girl loves her mum, and how much this mum love her little girl.

Sofia gets to know kiwi water and sand. Go Sofia. What fun!!

Sofia Quick meets the Wilson's

Some of my fav's.
Don't worry, I have been snap happy. I have heaps more to share, when I get a mo.
We are having a lovely time with Sofia, Aunty Mimi and Uncle Clyde.
Molly is dressed in the morning ready to go and meet Sofia. The Boys and Molly have been so protective, and patient trying to look after their wee cousin. Sofia in turn has been very tolerant of her bigger cousins. But one would have to say, I don't think Sofia will tolerate anything unless she chooses to do so. Go Sofia!!

Getting ready for Sofia

Fun at the A&P show

Well Marc and I finally got a couple of days away on our own.
Thanks to Didi who came and looked after the kids. We thought we would really miss the kids, and don't get me wrong, we did. But boy the peace and quiet was wonderful.
Last night when we were all back home it felt like someone had turned the speed and volume up to max.
These are some photos of the boys absailing at the A&P show.
Well done boys.
Thanks Denny!!

6 minus1

Yes you turn six and all sorts of magical things happen.
Jack lost his first tooth. The new one well on it's way through and at least twice the size. I have no idea how he is going to fit them all in his mouth.
It is funny, while we have been waiting for this moment, it is with a touch of sadness for his mum, as it is just another reminder of how quickly the kids are growing up. God help me when my baby starts losing her teeth!

Just another day.....

On Sunday we went out in Old Jack's Spray.
We took along Sam's friend Jacob.
Just a bit of the fun the kids had.
While they were rowing they saw a sting ray. Molly freaked out, Jack was just about falling in hanging over the side. I think Tuatara would have been with Molly on this one!! (So would I).
I remember diving off the boat as a kid. What great memories, and one rowing in the dinghy keeping it all safe. Fancy a swim Aunty M when you come out? Sam is a great dinghy rower for support??

The Filleting Lesson

Jack is ever the keen fisherman.
He can grab any fish without fear, and I am so proud of his efforts to try to acheive anything.
Well Aunty Madge gave him a fishing book for his birthday, and in it were instructions on how to fillet a fish.
Well mum caught a fish (a gurnard) this weekend and Jack just had to fillet the fish.
In steps dad for a lesson.
Jack would not give up, and had to see it to completion. (Yes eating the final result)
Oh, and Molly sat with interest and awe, but she was not going to touch that fish.
Watch out Sofia, Jack has things he wants to teach you.....

Happy Halloween

I look in amusement to Meredith, Clyde and Sofia's blog. The struggle to get a lovely strong willed little girl to comply with dressing up in costume for the amusement of others.
Every year I have also done this.
This year I had the reverse.
Jack was keen and tasteful in his costume. S.A.M decided to choose something that would turn heads. Yes, watch out Mimi and Clyde, Sofia will soon be begging to dress up in the most shocking outfit she can find.
Now see it backfired a little on S.A.M. because I don't care about him being dressed up as a girl, I just about wet my pants laughing as I helped him to complete the dressing.
Now of those of you laughing do be prepared that I have a photo of Shane, Robin and Marc dressed up in a similar state and at a much older age.....

The shag

When Jack went skiing, his dad said he looked like a shag.
Well I found this video to show off Jack's great skiing skills.
