Finally some fish

Jack. Molly, Marc and Grandad went fishing yesterday at Separation Point. This is a photo of Grandad's schnapper. Jack caught one just a little bit smaller on his rod. It certainly stood up to the large fish, although Marc reckons he lost two bigger than Gandad's when they took the whole rig with them.
Jack used his new bait Grandpa gave him, and these big schnapper seemed to love it, but were cunning enough to just bite off the heads and tails, leaving the very important hook alone.

Sam

Well what more can I say!! This is my nearly 12 year old young man.

I just love some of these poses.
Miss Molly insisted when we went ashore that she was not going to swim so did not need her togs. Obviously the temptation was too great. Knickers it is.

Jack's water fountain

Yesterday we went out in the boat. Marc took us to a wee place at Honeymoon Bay, where there is a lovely waterfall and pool of fresh water. Jack had great fun.

Blue sky

Today was a bit wet. Rain in the morning as we headed off to work and school.
Dad arrived home from work this evening, walked in the door and said, "Look blue sky". To which Miss Molly came running from the bedroom, wraped her arms around dad and said, "you're blue sky daddy".

Not every day??

Had a great day at school? or happy to be home?
"What's tomorrow?" said Molly.
"School" said mummy. "You go to school every day now Molly."
"Not every day, I want a mummy and Molly day."
Thanks Molly. I love you too!

Off to the bus

Three beautiful children, keen and eager to get to school. How lucky are we??
Thanks Grandpa and Didi for the lovely school bag. Worn with pride!!

Do you remember popping the bubbles on bubble wrap?

Happy Birthday Miss Molly

Well the day has come! Miss Molly is 5.
Yes I have shed some tears.
Molly however jumped on the bus without looking back. Jack managed a wave, and Molly didn't even look at her poor mum and dad.
I guess on the positive side we have managed to raise an independant self confident little girl.
Happy Birthday Molly.
Oh by the way the castle is perfect and was a huge success. Thanks Aunty Mimi and Uncle Clyde for your help in making that happen!

Chocolate Fondue

Five!!!

Guess who she was elbowing out the way??

Well Saturday Miss Molly had some friends over to celebrate her birthday. We had the bouncy castle, the party food, and Miss Molly was well and truley spoiled.
After the party we went to Nelson to spend the night with friends, and the kids got to enjoy their first chocolate fondue.
I was absolutely gobsmacked when Marc admitted he had never had toasted marshmallows, so another first last night when we lit the fire and toasted marshmallows for Marc.
