Playing with sand

Playing with sand is so much fun!
"Keep your togs on Molly" said my mum
I don't care what you say
I'll do it my way anyday
"Keep your togs on Molly" said my mum
or you'll get sand all up your bum

Playing with sand is so much fun
Until you get sand all up your bum
"Never mind Molly" said my mum
You can wash that sand right off your bum

Thanks Mum

Today

It has been one of those days.
I am off to work tomorrow, but a little tired.
Jack became very unwell last night, and was at the after hours DR at 11.30pm.
Like most children he became sick very quick, and recovered quickly.
This morning he woke up and said "Good Morning mum can I have cereal".
Dad was still snoring, and mum's eyes were just about falling out of her head!!
All is well for the moment but we sleep like dogs now with one ear open.
Well I am off to bed. Goodnight.

An Update

It is late and I so want to keep you up with what is going on.
I hope you enjoy the changes in the church. Marc has been working so hard.
The floors look great, and we can now see the potential!
This is the main bathroom and it's new vanity.
This is the laundry
And the wonderful new polished floors. Some of this will be carpeted as it is too cold, and the acoustics are not great.

GUY FAWKES

Guy Fawkes at Tapu Bay.
We had a lovely night last night, with neighbours getting together for a bonfire and fireworks.
Jack is still a bit nervous about noise
I did manage to bribe Molly with chocolate to have her photo taken, but that still didn't get a smile.

Sam and I quit at about 11pm. Does he look a little tired to you?

He made it home

Yay! Fist bus day a success. He arrived home safe and sound, and mum got her photo.

The Magic School Bus

He didn't even look back!
Mum was shouting "Jack, look, I want to take your photo". The bus left and Jack was deep in conversation with his minder (SAM), and mum didn't even get a wave.
I have tried to teach my children independence. I guess you can call this success?

TOAST

Miss Sofia.
If you continue these early mornings it will catch up on you.
This was Miss Molly this morning after keeping her daddy up half the night.
Miss Molly even fell asleep at her Grandma Lynn's house and missed kindy.
In our house this is what we call toast. "Molly is toast"
Look at Sullivan, he is waiting for the right time to catch the toast (with marmite).

Sully's Whitebait

Sully meets our catch of the day.
We had fun catching whitebait just down from Darryl's house.
What Sully wouldn't do to get in that container.

The fishing cyclist

I just couldn't resist taking this photo.
We saw a guy walking acros the sand flats from Riwaka with his bike.
Next thing we see him fishing off the point at Tapu bay, with his bike parked up on the rocks.
Oh what a life!!

Finding Flounder

Today we took the dogs for a walk along the beach below our house.
The tide was out, and there were heaps of baby flounder wizzing about.
Marc swears he used to be able to catch them!

I guess there is only so much you can expect of a 3 year old.
Unusual for her, even Marc couldn't believe how she can walk on shells.
Guess she has her mother's feet.
