The motorbike man

Yes I was up at 5.30 this morning, and managed to get a photo of the boy as he got ready to make his cold journey to work.

So I have been playing with my new camera.
Still learning how to work it, but here are some shots from it

Fun At The River

Aunty Mimi and Uncle Clyde this is for you.

This is what you do for child/animal control when you have 2 dogs and three children:)

Learning To Ride

Today Molly and Jack were learning to ride their bikes on two wheels.

Not to be outdone by big brother riding his motorbike, there was fair competition.

A great attempt by both young riders.

Yes that was the father's hand at the back of the neck for full control!!

And yes the kids were still smiling.

Do you remember.....?

Now, we did this as kids. I have no idea who taught my daughter this trick, maybe it is just natural instinct when staying in a church with no insulation? Dad tried to tell Molly that warming her clothes and then putting them on the cold floor was pointless, but Molly had another agenda. She warmed them first, put them on the floor and then re warmed them individually prior to putting them on. Not much dad could say then!!

"Yes" he said, it was worth the wait.

Well after a very patient wait, both for the bike, and being able to ride it, Sabastian has his first riding lesson.
He was very cautious much to his mothers relief, and listened to all the instructions.
He has now learnt how to manage a clutch and 1st gear and neutral. After 2 hours he started to become more confident, aiming for more challenging terrain.
We will teach him more gears next time

Watch out! between the giggling and the constant grin, I think I have another future problem on my hands. Molly has taken a liking to dangerous sports.
Every visit to the motorbike shop we had to prise her off the quadbikes.

Jack was a little more wary, but also had a fun ride. Thanks Sam for letting the kids have a ride on your bike!!

The Bikes

OK, so I may regret supporting this decision in the future. But for the moment two of my boys are happy.

I will get a photo of Marc when he is in full gear, and one of Sabastian when he is in, (should I say it), full flight.
